The Gratitude Game

Farm Life

The Farm is in full swing of newness and the other night I got very present to all that we had going on. Baby chicks. Baby turkeys. Almost-to-be-baby-goats. The horses. The dogs. The garden. The greenhouse. The chickens. The eggs. The property. The pond. And the partridge in the pear tree.

And I then asked myself a question that I ask myself EVERY day. That I ask over the dinner table, whether there are two of us or forty. And I encourage you to ask YOU and your family on the daily.

As there are now studies out there that have proven its significance in how it ADDS HEALTH to our life. Our minds. Our bodies. And our hearts.

The question was THIS…

“What are you grateful for?”

When I asked this, I smiled to myself.

So much. I thought. So much.

For all the health that I have.

For the health of the land. The health of the animals. The health of my mind. The health of and IN my life.

This is just a reminder that, no matter what, no matter how challenging life can be, there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for.

And there are LOTS of ways to implement this game into your life.

You can keep a gratitude journal and write in it daily.

You can have sign in your house posting the question so you think of it daily.

You can enroll your friends and family to play with you.

Gratitude is not only good for the mind and spirit, its also shown to lower blood pressure, decrease cortisol (the stress hormone) and is good for our heart.

I am grateful for YOU. And all you are. And all you have become.

I love this game.

Now go play!
